Art must evoke an emotional or thoughtful response. It must make a person think or feel something encourage an action: laughing, crying, talking, creating are just a few of the reactions that i strive for in my art. I also want to show that the artforms that society deems the most unconventional (or forms that society refuses to acknowledge as artforms at all) can produce some of the most insightful or relatable pieces of work.

Just because a gallery or a critic says something is art does not make it so. The definition of art will vary from person to person. I hope that either my pieces fall under your definition or maybe make you ponder the question of what art is further. - J
